About QGC-Gov

QGC-Gov is a true open architecture that leverages the leading open-source software solutions used in the Blue sUAS Program, Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) Program and across industry for unmanned systems. QGC-Gov builds upon this proven solution, adds additional capabilities and features and allows for integration of new systems across the ecosystem. QGC-Gov prevents vendor lock, enables and fosters innovation, and provides the US Government tremendous long-term value and flexibility across their unmanned systems portfolio.

FASTER DEPLOYMENT THROUGH STANDARDS AND INTEROPERABILITY

Control and plan missions with any commercial sUAS (e.g., VTOL, fixed wing, hybrids) using RAS-A IOP with a hardware ground controller, a tablet, your laptop, over a number of compatible radios. Mix and match control devices and capabilities from compatible sUAS without being worried about whether or not they are compatible or would work “out of the box”.
Key features include:
  • Flight control for vehicles with autopilots that communicate with the RAS-A IOP protocol
  • Use on tablets, laptops, and ground control stations
  • Currently compatible with Android and Ubuntu

POWERFUL MISSION PLANNING AND EFFICIENT EXECUTION

Perform simple to complex mission plans with waypoints then execute with only a few clicks.
  • UAS mission planning capabilities including loading pre-planned missions
  • Flight map display showing vehicle position, flight track, waypoints and vehicle instruments
  • Import and use custom maps
  • Video streaming with instrument display overlays
  • Support for managing multiple vehicles.

VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY

QGC-Gov is currently compatible with SRR sUAS. Because of its open source architecture and design, it will support future vehicles including those from Soldier Borne Sensor (SBS) Trance 2 sUAS
